SOTAtoADIF Web Edition
Today, I am pleased to introduce a new and improved version of my SOTAtoADIF tool, SOTAtoADIF-Web (source code) 🥳.
See my previous post for full information on the idea behind the tool:Â Introducing SOTAtoADIF. In short, you can convert SOTA logs into ADIF files for use with logging programs and LoTW.
The new web edition is available in your browser, meaning you do not need to have Python installed or understand how to use command line tools. All log conversion happens locally on your machine. The SOTA API is used to find Maidenhead locators for each summit and these look-ups are cached in your browser to reduce load on the API. No cookies or telemetry are used.
This was made possible through the use of AI as without it I would not have had time to convert the codebase to JavaScript and design a web GUI. Rest assured that the code is relatively simple and I have reviewed it for any major errors or security flaws.
Hosted Version
I am hosting this as a static site so anyone can use it at sotatoadif.g5jda.uk. Please try it out and report any issues here.
